I am Jenny Karpelenia and I teach 8th graders science at Bartels Middle
School in Portage, Wisconsin. My goal with this blog is to help
communicate what is happening in our Science 8 classroom with others.
Parents might use it as a way to see what their son or daughter is
learning at school. I will start it out, but I intend for students to
rotate the job of adding a daily entry, sharing what we did in class
that day. This could include what the topic was, specific things we
learned about the topic, any labs or other activities we did, their
favorite part of the lesson, what the assignment was, etc. I think this
could even be a tool useful to absent students.
We will learn together how to add pictures, audio, video, etc. I think we can all contribute to making it and learning from it.

Now that the school year is a few weeks in and students have a general feel for how science class works on a daily basis, we will introduce this blog.
